Tomorrow Tuesday 17 December in the morning, the wonderful tour guides at the Elmina Castle in Ghana will have the well-earned exclusive privilege for the first Ghana premiere screening of the documentary - "The Embodied Absence of the Past: tourism's intersection with the slavery and colonial heritage memories in the Ghana-Suriname-Netherlands triangle".
This is as it should be as they are key participants and cornerstone of the research project. I'm really glad that we could find a slot in their busy schedule to view this together and have conversation afterwards in the 'Dutch Church' Hall in the castle.
Thanks to HOD Ishmael Mensah, CHE, MIH and his team for helping make this happen. I'm looking forward to this screening and subsequent discussions that will follow.
Michael Kunke of Brand Elmina would be there to answer all the technical questions.
