Eco-Cultural tours
Summary
- Suitable for: All ages
- Duration: Flexible
Description
The tours offer various opportunities to see and participate in some local cultural practices. These include: traditional festivals; customary rites such as naming ceremonies, marriages, puberty rites, funerals; visits to traditional shrines and herbalists to consult the oracles or learn about alternative medicines; learning local drumming, music and dance; preparation of local cuisine (culinary excursions); or spending some time in a local village to participate in their daily traditional activities.
Visitors may spend time with some of our craftsmen to observe and participate in their activities. These range from kente weaving, adinkra printing, pottery, wood carving, batik and tie and dye making, gold and blacksmithing, brass and silver works, hair braiding, beads making, and basket weaving among others.
