What to Expect at Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park
The Memorial Park covers 5.3 acres, featuring a mausoleum that houses the remains of Kwame Nkrumah and his wife, Fathia Nkrumah, sculptures, monument and fountains. The marble mausoleum sits atop a platform that is accessible via a grand staircase. In the museum, you will find an exhibition about Nkrumah's life and achievements. The park also features the famous bronze statue of Nkrumah.
Information for Visitors
The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park is open to visitors from Monday to Sunday, from 9 am to 5 pm. Admission fees for non-Ghanaians are GHC 10 (approximately $1.70). Visitors are required to dress appropriately and behave respectfully while on the premises.
